Brittnee Scott

Biography

Brittnee Scott is an experienced and student-centered educational leader dedicated to fostering academic success through a whole-child approach. She has devoted her career to serving in transformation schools, consistently working to move the needle on academic supports and outcomes for students who need it most.

She began her career in Duval County Public Schools as a civics teacher, where she developed a strong foundation in instructional practice and student engagement. Mrs. Scott later returned to her hometown to continue her work in Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she served for eight years in multiple impactful roles, including Civics Teacher, MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) Coach, and Assistant Principal of Curriculum. During this time, she became known for her ability to strengthen systems of support, implement data-driven instruction, and lead efforts that improved student achievement.

She then transitioned to Pinellas County Schools, where she served as Assistant Principal at Tyrone Middle School. Her leadership there further enhanced schoolwide systems, instructional practices, and interventions designed to support diverse learners.

Mrs. Scott now proudly serves as the Principal of John Hopkins Middle School, where she leads with a clear vision centered on educating the “whole child.” She is deeply committed to ensuring that students receive rigorous academic instruction alongside the social and emotional support necessary to thrive.

Outside of her professional role, Mrs. Scott is the proud mother of all girls and enjoys spending her free time sewing and shopping.
